Infact, it was their first big hit. So, this footage is obviously very old. It was filmed on July 21, 1970 at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. This features the original band which included Terry Kath, Peter Cetera & Danny Seraphine. The other four musicians still tour as 'Chicago' with their replacements. Quite nicely, I might add! Our second concert of the summer season was a doozy. What can you say about a ticket with the Doobie Brothers and Chicago, but awesome. The energy from both bands was second only to the incredible caliber of musicianship at play here. The vast amount of hit songs made this show a must see. However, the incredible showmanship, performance effort, and stage presence; displayed by each and every performer, made this event worth so much more than the price of admission. Individually, both bands were incredible. When they came together to jam for the finale, it was unbelievably powerful and more than entertaining. We highly recommend that you seek out one of these shows. We had to travel 5 hours by train to see this one. Traveling is such a hassle that we don't do it for just any old concert. It was so worth all of the time, expense, and effort involved. Do yourself a favor go see the Doobie Brother and Chicago together. My wife and I feel that this was an experience that will defiantly last a lifetime. Bill Champlin was unable to attend this show. Robert Lamm stepped up and took over this lead vocal. This is only the second time that Lamm has ever sang this song in concert. The quality of the video is not so great. But, the performance is significant and historical in Chicago-perspective.
